Welcome to UMSON Living History Museum

Maryland’s only museum dedicated to nursing, the Living History Museum honors the critical role of nurses and chronicles the continuing story of the profession. Established in 1999, the museum displays hundreds of historic items including equipment used in private-duty nursing, hospital equipment, and uniforms from the past and present.

This online catalog is a work in progress, providing access to the materials held by the Museum that document the history of the School of Nursing, its students, staff, faculty, and alumni.
